Adam and Eve were told that they could have any fruit they wanted except the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden called the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. What was so bad about this tree? God didn't want Adam and Eve to know about evil, that sounds reasonable, but why didn't God want Adam and Eve to know about good? What is bad about good? God didn't want Adam and Eve eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, because good and evil are illusions. If they ate of that fruit then they would go into a world of illusion.

 

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil they went into a state of polarisation. Genesis 3: 3, saids that if Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil then they would die, polarization or being in a physical body leads to death. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit from that tree their eyes were opened, their physical eyes. Their spiritual eye was closed. Their eyes were opened, but their eye was closed. When they ate the fruit, they realised they were naked, because they had entered into a physical form. So the first thing they did, after their eyes were opened, was to put on clothes. When they had put on clothes, that was a clear sign to God, that they had entered into a polarised state. Perhaps clothes was a metaphor for the body. Why did God get angry that they thought they were naked and then put on clothes? It's because being naked meant being without the flesh, the clothes, which represents the flesh, covered over the spirit. When the soul or the true self enters the body, it goes into a polarised state and develops the illusions such as good and evil and time etc. Adam and Eve were banished after God made garments of skin for them and Genesis doesn't say that the skin was from a slaughtered animal, but their skin.

It was explained on the page called The Axis of the Universe that the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden was placed right in the middle of the place as mentioned in Genesis 2:9 and Genesis 3:3, "The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.", "God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will did.'"

The Garden of Eden had a river that watered the garden and it split into four rivers that flowed out to the world. This represents that in the center there is the oneness that nourishes everything and the river splitting into four represents the four cardinal directions of the compass and of the physical or lower world. Think of the Garden of Eden as being that invisible center that moves everything without being moved. The center nourishes everything that comes out of it. The banishment was from the center into the circumference of this world.  

 

In the Book of Daniel 4:10, there is another symbolic tree that also just happens to be in the middle that reached upto Heaven and it was chopped down symbolically severing Heaven from Earth.

 

The writers of the Gnostic gospels came to that conclusion that the clothes that Adam and Eve put on represented the flesh, as these passages from the Gnostic gospels demonstrate:

 

(37) His disciples said, "When will you become revealed to us and when shall we see you?" Jesus said, "When you disrobe without being ashamed and take up your garments and pace them under your feet like little children and tread of them, then will you see the son of the living one, and you will not be afraid." The Gospel of Thomas.

 

(56:25) Some are afraid lest they rise naked. Because of this they wish to rise in the flesh, and they do not know that is is those who wear the flesh who are naked. "Flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Co 15:50). The Gospel of Philip.

 

They could no longer inhabit the world they were in, because that was a higher reality and they went into a lower reality by becomming polarised. This is called the Fall of Man. It was a fall into polarisation. The Fall could also mean the fall from Heaven to Earth, or the spirit going out of the spirit world into the body. This fall occured after Man was polarised after the creation of Eve. There was another tree in the middle of the garden called the Tree of Life. Adam and Eve were not allowed to eat from this tree after they ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. The Tree of Life represents the opposite of polarisation and everything else that comes with it. It should be pointed out that the ancients never defined anything physical as being life, only the spirit is life. The religious people have no idea what Genesis is about. God wouldn't curse Mankind just for eating an apple, it is symbolic. The Fall of Man is about falling from a higher level to a lower level and doesn't mean disobediance, although religions like to emphasize that because they like to make people feel as guilty as possible all the time. Feeling guilty because of something that religious people believed two people did 6000 years ago doesn't achieve anything. It just makes people feel unnessacerily bad and they don't progress. The way of thinking that the Fall of Man is about falling from the spirit and into the polarization and ignorance of the body is a much more productive way of thinking. This is a quote from William Kingland that sums up what the Fall of Man is about, "the full realization of the essential divine nature of man, the recovery by the individual of the full knowledge and powers of his divine spiritual nature, of that which was his source and origin, but to the consciousness of which he is now dead through the 'Fall of Man' into matter and physical life."

 

The Book of Genesis, 2:21, saids that God put Adam into a deep sleep and one of his ribs was taken and made into a woman.

 

Considering that there maybe metaphors in the Book of Genesis the deep sleep could represent the soul going into the body and going to sleep. Sleep is used as a metaphor to describe the condition of the soul or the true self especially in mystical societies and in movies like the Matrix where waking up from the illusion an into the real world is the main theme of the movie. It's interesting to note that the Book of Genesis never saids that Adam woke up after the woman was made. Adam continued sleeping until the day he died. The Book of Genesis links the deep sleep with the polarization of the sexes and all other forms of polarization as well, particulary good and evil, as well as ignorance of the soul while in the body, which is what caused the Fall of Man. The Gnostics recognized what this passage was saying. This is what they said in the Hypostasis of the Archons (89) "The rulers took counsel with one another and said, "Come, let us cause a deep sleep to fall upon Adam." And he slept. - Now the deep sleep that they "caused to fall upon him, and he slept" is Ignorance. - They opened his side like a living woman. And they built up his side with some flesh in place of her, and Adam came to be endowed only with soul." It's worth mentioning that the first city was built by the first murderer, Cain, Genesis 4:17-22, that should give a preview of what all other civilizations were going to be like.

 

There appears to be a mistake in the Book of Genesis. Genesis 1:26-29, says that God created man and woman on the sixth day, but Genesis 2:18-25 says that God created man first then God took a rib from Adam and created Eve. Atheists have used these two different accounts to say this is evidence the Bible can't be the word of God, whereas Christians say that these are just two different accounts of creation. But the Bible isn't making a mistake, in Genesis 1 it is saying that Man used to be both man and woman. In Genesis 2, man and woman become separate. The Gnostics recognized this. These two statements are from the Gospel of Philip: "When Eve was still in Adam death did not exist. When she was separated from him death came into being. If he enters again and attains his former self, death will be no more." "If the woman had not separated from the man, she should not die with the man. His separation became the beginning of death. Because of this Christ came to repair the separation which was from the beginning and again unite the two, and to give life to those who died as a result of the separation and unite them." Genesis 1 is saying that Man was created and Genesis 2 is saying that Man was separated, that isn't a mistake.  

 

Genesis 1:27 makes a statement that supports the idea the original Man, before the original sin, was androgynous, "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." The polar opposites are nothing more than images of the original, much greater thing that they are based on. The word image appears numerous times all throughout the Bible and its meaning is usually the same, as in the lower world is just an image of the higher world.

Time is a by product of polarisation. This is what the story or metaphor of Adam and Eve and the metaphors of many other cultures are about. This is why the snake is linked with the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil or polarisation and the Fall of Man.

 

Time is an illusion that is caused by polarisation, which is the biggest illusion of all. Even though everything in the universe is unbalanced, balance still needs to be maintained, so that is why everything in the physical universe happens in cycles, whether it's large like a galaxy rotating around the black hole at the center, the planets rotating around the Sun, or the electrons rotating around the nucleas of an atom. Any object that is separated from the source will cycle around it.

 

The further away an obect is from the source, the slower it cycles around it. The closer an object is to the source, the faster it cycles around it. This is the illusion of time. The stars and everything else in a galaxy may appear to rotate slowly around the central black hole, but the closer they get to the center, the faster they rotate around the black hole. At the edge of the black hole, the matter is rotating incredibly fast. In the black hole itself there is nothing rotating, the matter has come to a singularity, where there is no time.

 

People have been in a polarised state, where they have been separated from the source, which is their true selves. Even though people are in an unbalanced state of mind, balance still needs to be maintained. That is why people's conscious and subconscious minds rotate around their true selves, which creates the illusion of time. The further away someone's mind is away from their true self, the slower time seems to go. The closer someone's mind is away from their true self, the faster time seems to go. Someone who is in a balanced state of mind, which isn't polarised, will not experience time like everyone else does.

 

Genesis lists many of Adam's descendants, in many cases giving the ages at which they had children and died. From these geneoligies it is possible to build up a chronology in which many of the events of the Old Testament are dated to an estimated number of years after creation. The best known estimate for the date of creation is from Archbishop James Ussher, 1581 to 1656, who proposed a date of Sunday, October 23, 4004 BCE, exactly 4,000 years before the birth of Christ according the ideas of his time. In Judaism, the Rabbis believe that the world was created around 6 000 years ago, which agrees with what many Christains believe the date of creation is as well. They believe that the date of creation is September 22 or March 29, 3760 BCE. Scholars of the mystical branch of Judaism, the Kabbalah, taught that the Earth was created over 6 000 years ago, which is in line with what the Rabbis and Christains say but they go one step further. In mystical traditions people have a non linear, cyclical view of time, whereas in normal religions, particulary those of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the people in them have a linear beginning and end view of time. Bahya ben Asher, from the 13th centurary concluded that there were many cycles or ages, which occured in the universe long before the 6 000 years from the start of creation that Man is familiar with, and based on the Kabbalah, calculates that the Earth is billions of years old. Another Kabbalist, Isaac ben Samuel of Acre, also from the 13th centurary calculated that the universe is actually 15,340,500,000 years old through complex calculations in the Old Testament. The remarkable thing is is the date he arrived at, over 15 billions years ago, is quite close to the scientific estimation, which places the occurrence of the Big Bang at 13.7 ± 0.2 billion years ago. That's quite impressive for someone living in an age that still believed that the Earth was flat and that the Earth was in the centre of the Solar System. It should be pointed out that astronomers have found objects that are older than 13.7 billion years, so the official occurence of the Big Bang will be pushed back.

 

Another group of people, The Mayans, dated creation at August 11, 3114 BCE in the Long Count Calender. This was the start of the 5th Sun according to the their creation myth, the Popul Vuh, 5th Sun will end on December 21, 2012. This date is also the end of the 26 000 year Precessional cycle, which astrologial ages are also based on. In the Mayan Long Count calendar the Precessional cycle is divided into 5 parts and in astrology the Precessional cycle is divided into 12 parts. The Mayans also had 9 levels or periods of consciousness, which resemble a 9 step pyramid. The bottom level of this 9 consciouness cycles is called the Cellular Consciousness cycle, which started 16.4 billion years ago. This date is also similar to the date when the Big Bang officially began and it correlated even to the date that the Kabbalist Isaac ben Smuel of Acre gave of over 15 billion year ago. It seems that people with a non linear, cyclical view of time can be very accurate. But passing a few levels of this 9 step pyramid, there is a level called the National Consciousness cycle, which started at 3115 BC. This date corresponds to the start of creation in other creation accounts and it corresponds closely with the start of civilization and written history. This cycle is defined by laws written down, which tells people what is right and what is wrong. This is the time period when polarization sets in and Mankind and civilization is centered around laws that deal with right and wrong, good and evil etc. Before this cycle started in 3115 BC, there were natural consequences for bad behaviour and most people had a higher state of consciousness, which made them more mature and less likely to do wrong things. However after this time period Mankind went into a survivalist state, where they considered themselves more than others and their behaviour had to be goverened by law. History officially begins at the dawn of writing, between 4000 and 3500 B.C.E. Time prior to the development of writing is commonly referred to as prehistory. This time period has been defined by laws and civilizations were centered around laws. The development of writing started circa 3 500 BC in ancient Sumeria and this date corresponds closely with all the dates of when the world was created and when the present cycle of the Mayan calendar began.

 

The 10 commandments, which religious people believe is the basis of all laws in existance, is written on 2 slabs of stone. Why were they written on 2 slabs of stone and not 1? Maybe there wasn't enough room to write the laws on one slab of stone but considering that the story of Adam and Eve is referring to polar opposites then the 10 commandments written on 2 slabs of stone may represent the fact that as long as people exist in a state of polarization then they will be under the law. The law is like a choke chain that controls human behavior. The law is for the polarized world, which has been the defining feature of civilizations for over 5000 years. Every aspect of life seems to have some law governing it and too many laws can start to restrict freedom. A good example of this are all the fines that councils give out for every little infringement. Dictatorships have lots of laws too, that doesn't mean they are good places to live. A better society is about people being in a higher state of consciousness and not about how many laws that society has.

 

In the Hindu religion an age called the Kali Yuga began 23rd January 3102 BC. This date is also considered by many Hindus to be the day that Krishna died after being mortally wounded by an arrow. This date also correlates with the creation and cycle dates of so many other cultures in the world. Hindus believe that human civilization degenerates spiritually during the Kali Yuga, which is referred to as the Dark Age because in it people are as far removed as possible from God. Hinduism often symbolically represents morality as a bull. In Satya Yuga, the first stage of development, the bull has four legs, but in each age morality is reduced by one quarter. By the age of Kali, morality is reduced to only a quarter of that of the golden age, so that the bull of Dharma has only one leg.

 

These are some descriptions of what it's like in the Kali Yuga,

 

Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly. Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world. People will start migrating, seeking countries where wheat and barley form the staple food source.

 

Avarice and wrath will be common. Humans will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of dharma will occur. People will have thoughts of murder for no justification and they will see nothing wrong with that mind set. Lust will be viewed as being socially acceptable, and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life, with the result that even 13 to 16-year old girls will get pregnant. Sin will increase exponentially, whilst virtue will fade and cease to flourish. People will take vows only to break them soon after. People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs. Men will find their jobs stressful and will go to retreats to escape their work. Gurus will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted and followers of Kama will wrest control of the mind from all human beings.

 

4 000 BC was also when the Age of Taurus was beginning and this coincided with the development of agriculture so people didn't have to hunt so much and they could stay in one area. This is the time period when the first cities and civilizations, like Sumeria and Egypt, started to develop. This is the period when the Great pyramids of Egypt were built and when writing was started in Sumeria and Papyrus was invented during this time in Egypt as well, enabling improved writing techniques. It could be manufactured into very long strips that could be rolled into scrolls or rolls for efficient storage and handling. The Taurus glyph resembles a partially unrolled scroll.

 

The Jews, Christians, Mayans, Hindus, astrological ages in the Precessional cycle and official historians all seem to come up with a similar time period to describe the start of creation or the present age that exists right now. Even without these strong similarities between different religions and cultures most people can see that world can only be understood going back to 4 000 BC. Before that civilization and Humanity becomes too blurry to understand properly.

 

A lot of people have noticed that time has speeded up in the last few years. That is because they are getting closer to the source, so the cycles around the source are speeding up. There will come a point when people will reach their source and they will not experience the illusion of time anymore. People will go into a state of singularity, where there isn't the illusion of polarisation anymore.
